Hey, I’m Betts
I’m a 32 year old tattooer based in London. I’d say my main style is ornamental/floral however I love tattooing anything that involves linework and pepper shading or dotwork. My designs and tattoos are heavily inspired by folk motifs from around the world especially from eastern Europen and Indian cultures. Growing up with my grandma I remember having these embroidered pillows and table cloths decorating her house as well as these gorgeously painted plates hanging on the walls alongside my grandfather’s paintings and so many of my designs are inspired by these memories. I love taking on any custom requests as well as my usual stuff so feel free to get in touch by clicking the button below. Alternatively you can also book in via Instagram DM by clicking the button on the top right corner.
You can find me working alongside some of the nicest and most talented people at the amazing Old Stables Tattoo studio in Northwood.

My Approach
I always work with each client’s anatomy especially when it comes to ornates/patterns as I believe tattoos should enhance beauty and give you confidence. That being said, if you are after a patch work sleeve we can always do that too. I normally ask for a photo of the area we are tattooing to ensure I fit the design perfectly on you and it flows well with your shape. All my designs are one of a kind non-repeatable pieces unless otherwise stated. I rarely draw smaller flash designs that can be repeated but I will always state that and let you know when you enquire about a design. I also send the design out a day before the session so if you want me to make any changes we’ll have time to make adjustments.

Everyone's pain tolerance is very different so it will always be a different experience for each individual. Generally speaking where you have the most nerve endings is where the pain will be a little bit higher. For instance sternum, back or the thigh, knee, elbow, spine, inner thigh hurts are the most painful areas.

I charge per piece rather than hours. This was there is no stress on anyone's side. If you need more breaks or it takes a little longer to get the placement right I won't charge extra for that. This is just my approach and it makes it a bit more relaxing for everyone and you won't have to pay an unexpected amount at the end. You will always know how much you're going to pay as I always quote beforehand.
My day rate is £600 which is from 11-5.30pm and this usually includes a 15-20 minute lunch break as well. If run a little over I won't charge extra for that either.

There are a few key things you need to know. After getting a tattoo you cannot swim, sunbathe, do any heavy sweaty activities for at LEAST 2 weeks. This is to ensure the ink settles nicely and your skin has enough time to rebuild itself. That being said, when I get tattooed I skip gym, swimming and any heavy sweaty activities for the first 3 weeks. Now, if you want to just do a less intense gym session that is absolutely fine as long as you don't sweat like crazy. Everyone's healing time is different, depending on age, lifestyle and genes so I usually try to give amore personal aftercare after the session.

I have mixed feelings when it comes to second skin. I thinkk it’s great for small, simple tattoos but definitely not good on bigger more detailed/shaded/filled in pieces as there will be more plasma and excess ink that will come out of your skin during the first 24 hours after getting a tattoo done. I also had a few clients who’s had some residue leftover after they removed it and after contacting the company about it they simply said “it’s okay just rub it with baby oil until it comes off” — rubbing your fresh tattoo with baby oil is not ideal in my opinion so I much prefer good old cling film. It’s a method that always worked. That being is said it you would like to use second skin please do not hesitate to ask - I do keep some in stock :)

If you wish to move your appointment you need to let me know at LEAST 3 days prior to our session. I always try and be flexible but as I spend time on the design deposits are non refundable.

Yes! Unlike most artists, I do show you the design a day before the session. I want my clients to be able to think it through and let me know if they want any changes
after all it will be on you for life :)
